My husband & i have both had what appears to be grey or black dust or fibers when blowing our noses. there is no distinct pattern we can tell. our apartment isnt very very dusty, we both dont smoke/around smoke, but we have cats. is it cat hair?

Rinse: There may be distribution of dust through air vents. Consider HEPA filters for the heating system. Rinse with nasal saline several times daily until clear. If other symptoms develop, please see your PCP. Avoid any exposure to dust, pollen, pets and other allergens. Avoid smoke exposure, including secondary smoke.
