Probably yes: There is very little malaria in SA and you will not be "required" to take anti-malaria anywhere. The area you are traveling to is very close to the malaria areas of Kruger National Park. The factors against anti-malaria medication are: air-conditioned hotels, urban areas, travel between May - September, minimal exposure dusk to dawn, and a very short itinerary. Use an insect repellant.
