A member asked:

Can any doc tell me what's the differential diagnosis of malaria, and what does it mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DDx of malaria: The differential diagnosis of malaria would actually be the differential diagnosis of any acute febrile illness for which malaria would be a possibility. Anyone who resided in a malarial zone, or who had recently visited one, would have the differential of malaria as a possible cause if they developed an acute febrile illness.
