This has the effect of making the gums swell and therefore more plaque tend to accumulate on the teeth and gums. This can affect the way things taste. Check your hygiene really well and get a dentist's opinion!

Oral changes: Wishing you both a healthy baby. Lapses in oral hygiene, hormonal imbalance, infections, nutritional changes, can all affect the way your wife is tasting things. Recommend that she see both her OBGyn for overall health status and her General Dentist to assure optimum oral health. Infections can be problematic. Also she must be sure to take her pre-natal vitamins regularly.
