Throat culture.: If a culture confirms that this Strep this will usually come with a sensitivity report. Strep usually respond to a 10 day course of penicillin, Your PCP should assist you.

Confirm the DX: "Congestion" is not commonly associated with true strep throat. Confirm the diagnosis by rapid strep test or culture first!
