Viral infection : Sounds like a viral infection - coronavirus, adenovirus, coxsackie virus, RSV, parainfluenza, metapneumovirus, etc, etc. They are all viruses (+ 20 more) which can cause identical symptoms. See your doctor to determine cause and what more (if anything) needs to be done.
