Flank pain : Early in pregnancy with pain that is localized to 1 side should be evaluated by your obstetrician. Some of the possibilities for pain in this particular area can be urinary tract infection, cyst in the ovarian region, or the fact that the pregnancy has not been implanted in the uterus but rather is outside of the uterus. This is particularly important to determine as it requires surgical treatment
