If : If you weren't pregnant then you likely have irregular cycles on the basis of not-ovulating. Some women will have apparent "periods" on a fairly regular basis but not be ovulating. They are at risk of developing dysfunctional uterine bleeding or anovulatory bleeding that occurs at different times in the cycle.
