My friend tested positive today for covid 1/27/2021. he started having symptoms on monday 1/25/2021. i was with him along with another friend 1/22 at a get together, for half the day celebrating our birthday. i know i drank from his cup, i feel fine?

Self quarantine: Definitely a high risk exposure. You must quarantine yourself until Feb 6 (14 days from Jan 22). Stay home, and separate as best you can from anyone sharing the same houehold. Get tested if you develop symptoms. Good luck.

Some basics: People are considered contagious from 1 day prior to 7+/- days after any symptoms start. Incubation is a few days in those who show symptoms. Diminished sense of smell may be an early if not the only symptom. Consider yourself exposed & possibly contagious. Testing would be worthwhile if you can do it.
