BCP?'s: BCP's effectiveness is not affected by "D-mannose" ingestion. There are agents such as some antibiotics which can cause poor absorption of the hormones in bcp's, but in these cases, a sign of potential failure will be withdrawal bleeding due to diminished estrogen, in which case reversion to barrier contraception is advised.
