See below: Kidney stones cause blockage or ripples in the flow of urine and sometimes the blckage may be complete.Uti can be a cystitis ie a blader infection alone, or pyelonephritis ie a infection upto the kidneys.Prescence of a stone or many stones cause a susceptibility to infection, and it would advisable to seek a urologist to eliminate the stones and also try and prevent new ones.

Yes/no: Recurrent kidney stones increase the incidence of kidney infection. In fact, stones are a major cause of pyelonephritis (kidney infection). Uti (urinary tract infection) includes bladder infections (cystitis) which are less related to stones.
