A member asked:

Does nearsightedness (myopia) tend to level off at a certain point or can a person's distance vision change with age? does age-related presbyopia have any effect on the distance vision of a person with existing myopia?

Presbyopia : Great questions! Unfortunately, with age distance vision can still change in myopia. Also, the eye tends to accommodate less well to focus at different distances. The tissues in & around the eye just don’t adjust as readily starting in the mid to late 40s. Sight is a precious thing—get yearly eye exams!
