Probably not "normal: Since oral contraceptive pills are believed to prevent ovulation and they are often used to alleviate menstrual cramps too, it would be best to request a gyn evaluation (history, pelvic-abdominal exam, pregnancy test and a pelvic sonogram...) to seek the cause of your symptoms and answer your concerns.
