Bladder diverticulum: Need to know indications for surgery. Urine flow should improve after removal of bladder diverticulum, unless you have significant prostatic enlargement. Should have had evaluated cystoscopically before bladder surgery. Medication to shrink or removal of prostatic tissue might have avoided need for & should have preceded or coincided with divertuculum surgery if prostate was or is obstructive
