Diarrheal illness: Pediatric diarrheal illness may last as long as 14 days, and if there is no improvement, please see urgent care. Watch for blood and mucus in the stool, provide clear fluids including pediatric electrolyte solution and a pediatric pro biotic. Diet changes include avoiding dairy except for yogurt, until well, bananas, rice, applesauce and crackers. Avoid dehydration by providing fluids.
