A member asked:

I am 4weeks post birth, i suffer with weakness and stiff joints in my hands at night, it takes me time to open my hands fully, could this be carpal tunnel syndrome or rheumatoid arthritis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Differential: If the symptoms involve solely hands and wrists, most likely persistent carpal tunnel syndrome. If more widespread joint involvement, more likely systemic arthritis. Should and could sort this out with simple blood tests and maybe EMG study. Regardless of final conclusion, treatment can reverse most if not all of your symptoms.
