Navalpro: I wasn't familiar w Navalpro (form of Valproate marketed in ZA). I thought that Depakote would be similiar. Per Drugs.Com - Depakote ER has the following rare (0.01% to 0.1%) SE's- Drug rash w eosinophilia & systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome, erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome & toxic epidermal necrolysis. Please talk to pharmacist in ZA to see if they can more closely match the med.

Attempted answer: Navalpro contains valproate, which could increase the incidence of lamotrigine rash. You do not indicate timing of the Navalpro, or whether you are currently taking Lamictal, but sounds like you have at least an allergic reaction. Do not act on your own, but see your doctor today, and readjust all pertinent medications. There could be a risk of a dangerous reaction (Stevens-Johnson)
