COVID 19: You could consider asking your neighbor if he has been infected with COVID19. Even if he has a COVID 19 infection early on, he wouldn't have been infectious for all of this time. Would not expect COVID 19 droplets to find their way through cracks in the wall. Your neighbor's cough might be from another cause.

See below: Covid-19: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html Contact your doctor/local hospital, by phone for evaluation and testing in your area. Wear a mask, stay away from others, practice hand hygiene. If you develop breathing difficulty, go to the nearest hospital, immediately. Get Covid vaccine. Wish you good health.

Cough for months : A cough can result from many things. There are people with a long-term cough as they recover from COVID-19 for months. COVID 19 is a common reason for a cough reason these days. Although, medical opinions often need objective testing. COVID 19 can be infectious for some rare people for long periods of time. How near are you? The outside air prevents the spread of COVID19.
