I express breastmilk for my baby and have noticed that if i leave my pump overnight that there is a pink tinge of the residue breastmilk. google has said its a sign of serratia marcescens and its dangerous. should i still be feeding my baby my milk?

Sanitize bottles.: Breast pump bottles should never be allowed to sit for long periods of time with residual milk, because of the risk of bacterial/fungal contamination. The bottle should be sanitized thoroughly before using again. Serratia is a bacillus found naturally in soil and water. It would not be found in your breast. Contamination would only occur if your bottle was not sanitized.
