Possible mastitis: Continue feeding and need antibiotic, as well. The source of the bacteria is most often the baby's mouth. So feeding should continue, if an antibiotic is used as well. Your doctor can pick a safe antibiotic for the small amount that gets secreted in the milk. Hot packs can help circulation as well.
