Exam advised: You don't mention whether the discomfort is in the right upper or lower abdomen or flank. If the discomfort is substantial and especially if there's associated tenderness, I recommend being examined in the emergency room where prompt attention and testing are available. Pain&tenderness in the right lower abdomen is characteristic of acute appendicitis.
