Seek care: May be radiculopathy "pinched nerve" in the back. There may be other causes, but since I am a neurologist, this one comes to mind. Any pain in the back, hip, or buttock area? I'd see a doctor sooner rather than later.

The unbearable: Pain is keeping you awake. Without details of your medical history related to your current condition, it is hard to give you a sound medical advice. You need to get your treating physician to re- evaluate you, perhaps give you a stronger pain medicine to ease the pain until you heal.
