Dr. Hunter Handsfield answered

Specializes in Infectious Disease

Gyn/ID specialist: Some gynecologists sub-specialize in infectious diseases. See if you can find one not too far away. Your regular gyn may be able to refer you; or investigate medical schools or large medical centers in your area. Or the Infectious Diseases Soci ety for Obstrics and Gynecology may be able to help find a nearby expert (www.idsog.org). Good luck.
