Expectations: A cough is the natural way the body brings up debris from deeper in the lung after mucus buildup. When a kid gets a URI/cold/etc, I expect them to cough for up to 2 wks. With bronchitis it can remain for a month. If the kids feeds drop off /they don't play & the process spooks you have her re-evaluated. Otherwise give it time.OTC cough meds do little if anything for kids that age.
