I'm having an irritable throat, that feels sore but not painful that i can't eat. it's producing phlegm which leads 'e to cough to clear the irritation. i can feel the irritation till just below my clavicle from the throat area.

Symptoms: Suspicion for COVID 19 is higher if you have at least 2 of these sx’s: temp of at least 99.6, Cough, Shortness of breath, Chills, Shivering, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat or new loss of taste or smell.

Treat as a cold.: Your symptoms are like a upper respiratory infection. Most colds are viral and not treated with antibiotics. Increase hydration, healthy eating, plenty of rest. acetaminophen for discomfort. gargle with salt water for your throat irritation. Your might consider a warm humidifier at bedside. Consult with PCP for follow up.
