Do you need a doc?: Remember that for the vast majority of people under 70 covid19 infection follows a course not unlike every other viral upper respiratory illness. It can be like a flu with fever and cough, like a cold, or just minor sniffles. Drink lots of fluids, use tylenol, aspirin or an NSAID, stay home and isolate yourself. If you get short of breath or vomit to point you cant hold down fluids, go to the ER.i

COVID 19 concerns: Rest, hydrate, quarantine & eat healthfully. Consider use of acetaminophen, saline for nasal irrigation, decongestant or cough syrup. Naprosyn is a good choice if NSAID’s are used. Get urgent care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or face, marked persistent chest pain/ pressure or new onset confusion. Consider a telemedicine consultation.
