Point to facts from trustworthy websites: Avoid arguing or implying that the person is foolish or not intelligent. Then point to facts from reliable sources. The vaccines have been thoroughly and systematically tested, and are very safe. Getting COVID-19 on the other hand is more than unsafe, it can be deadly and can lead to serious long-term consequences. Everyone should be more afraid of COVID-19 than of a well-tested vaccine that will protect them! Reference: https://www.aafp.org/fpm/2020/0900/p48.html

COVID 19 vaccine: Exellent input from Dr. Rutledge. Encourage them to read the literature and to follow the science. There is excellent info out there on the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. More info should be coming out about the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Agree with Drs. R&F: You may add that doctors who know the disease and the vaccine are lining up to take the vaccine. I did. Having said that, it is generally not productive to argue with ill informed people who are unable to see facts objectively. Wish you good health!
