A member asked:

How much am i at risk for testicular cancer with undescended testical when i was a baby in my groin, had operation. i had physical exam last month everything felt normal dr said, im still rlly worried left testical slightly bigger right was undecend?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

When surgery?: Current studies pretty conclusively show that if the undescended testicle is brought down before first birthday, there is not increased risk of cancer. That doesn't mean no risk - just not any more than general population. You are at prime age for testicular cancer, so follow doctor's instructions and do monthly exams yourself. If you feel lump, I'd be more concerned than size difference .
