See your Dr.: Pink or brown spotting is common in the first trimester of pregnancy. if you note bright red blood or have cramping, there may be a problem. Talk to your OB Dr for a thorough exam and to determine if there is anything wrong. They may use an ultrasound machine to make sure the placenta is in the right location and the baby is doing well.
