Cool air mist/saline: Nasal saline drops and gentle suction may be helpful. Use a cool air mist humidifier. To reduce post nasal drip at night, prop a foam wedge under the mattress and elevate the head of the bed to 30 degrees or more. Watch for signs of lethargy, prolonged fever -48 hours and poor feeding. If the baby is struggling to breath, please see the Emergency room. Most viral illnesses improve in 10 days.
