My son has a temp of 38.8 he is 10 mths , he has diarrhea which started today. his temp started on 25th dec around 4 pm we gave calpol to assist with the temp, on the 26th we took him to the er with a temp of 38.6. dr prescribed empaped not working ?

Some basics: A low grade fever as listed is a normal body response to illness. It increases heart rate so natural healing factors circulate faster. With a diarrheal illness like this, a few days of fever is expected & not harmful. I would not give anti-fever meds for temperatures this low.
