My wife had symptoms last tuesday, tested positive for covid on the wednesday, i got tested on thursday and i was negative, but have had symptoms for the past 5days. headache, cough, sore throat, chills and heavy breathing. should i be re-tested?

Covid 19 testing: Covid tests are typically not positive until day 4-5 after symptoms begin. Try retesting soon so that you have a diagnosis. Testing only confirms the diagnosis, it does not change the treatment which is symptomatic. You should already be self isolating and using Acetaminophen for fever, headache, sore throat, body ache and cough meds/inhalers if you normally use them for cough.
