Variable: The infection may resolve soon or in a few weeks. Watch for signs of secondary infection and pneumonia. These signs include fever, worsening cough and shortness of breath. Have a flu vaccine, stay isolated for at least 14 days, three days with no fever, whichever is longer. Drink fluids, rest and monitor symptoms.
