Hi doctors. for an mri of the skull-base and the brain (i assume that the mri would be for both..please correct me if i am wrong), are there any special preparations before...fasting/not fasting, water/no water, coffee/no coffee (with cream) before?

MRI: No fasting is needed for your MRI. Be sure to take your usual medications( if any) on schedule. Your ordering physician should direct the radiologist to pay special attention to any areas of concern and list any pertinent symptoms on the ordering sheet.
