Dr Supervision: Hiprex (methenamine) can interact with sulfonamides to create formaldehyde. Avoid Sulfonamide use while taking Hiprex. One of the side effects of Hiprex use can be kidney or liver problems. If taken long term, your Dr will monitor the labs for both of these organ systems to make sure they are OK.
