Thirst ??: Any 2 mo will likely take any fluid you offer at almost any occasion. That does not indicate thirst. Sucking is a pleasurable activity to infants which is why pacifiers work well to calm them. If the kid wets at least every 6 hrs they are getting enough fluids. Breastmilk or formula offer all the fluid value they need. I never offer water or tea for the sake of it.

Formula/breast milk: Avoid tea and caffeinated products until much older. Your baby needs adequate calories and nutrients provided by nursing or formula. Review growth chart with your pediatrician. Your feedings may be adjusted to meet demands, but avoid overfeeding and excessive spit ups as well.
