Dementia: Although this could be secondary to medications, a sleep disorder, vitamin deficiencies, low thyroid, a chronic infection, depression, etc.; it might be instead a degenerative neuronal problem such as Alzheimer's or Lewy Body Disease. This does need proper investigation, and I recommend a visit with a local neurologist in the very near future.
