What is the fastest way to heal a second metacarpal fracture?

Cast or surgery: If the fracture can be aligned well in a cast, you should be out of the cast in 3-4 weeks. If it can not be aligned you will need surgery. It talks 6 weeks for full healing either way. If you have surgery you might not need a cast.
