I had a second full knee replacement. my doctor did find infection in the knee. i was on antibiotics. i was without pain, last two dats severe pain and the knee is very hot. my doctor is on leave?

GO IMMEDIATELY TO ER: This cannot wait! Even with prompt treatment with IV antibiotics, you could be in significant danger of infection in the knee and potential loss of replacement and/or your leg . I know because my second knee replacement got infected and I am now an amputee of my left leg. Turn off your computer and go to ER now if your surgeon not available!
