GO IMMEDIATELY TO ER: This cannot wait! Even with prompt treatment with IV antibiotics, you could be in significant danger of infection in the knee and potential loss of replacement and/or your leg . I know because my second knee replacement got infected and I am now an amputee of my left leg. Turn off your computer and go to ER now if your surgeon not available!
