I have large scabs on my knee from a severe infection from a leech bite (bitten over 7 weeks ago). antibiotics relieved swelling but still itchy.

Allergic to venom: YOu have likely become allergic to the leech venom still present in the lesion. However I am concerned that certain part of the bug might have been left on the site especially when the leech was not removed properly. Ask your doctor to check .
