COVID symptoms: COVID symptoms include fever, sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, loss of taste and smell. With mild symptoms, testing is reasonable, especially if COVID-19 rates are high in your area or you have had an exposure.

Maybe: His symptoms might be from a variety of causes including a common cold. COVID 19 Sx's may include fever, cough, feeling tired, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, chills, chest pain, nasal congestion, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. The only way to know for sure is through testing.
