? cystitis: If indeed there is a bacterial infection either in bladder or kidney, this should be treated with hydration, and antibiotics. Your physician can make a decision how to handle this once a urinalysis and culture have been completed.

I agree, but.....: I agree you likely have a urinary tract infection. If you've never had one before, have no allergies, no underlying health problems, some physicians might be willing to treat without seeing you with an antibiotic. More commonly used ones are Bactrim, Levaquin, Amoxicillin. Ideally, though, you would go to doctor office and get a culture done on urine sample so would know what will work best!
