A member asked:

Good day. i have had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in july. i am now 5 weeks pregnant again. how can i make sure this pregnancy sticks ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Miscarriage ?'s: If the miscarriage at "6 weeks" in July was your first pregnancy, a "new" pregnancy is not as likely to end in miscarriage. If any bleeding occurs in the next several weeks, your OB physician may elect to prescribe progesterone to support a potential deficiency in production by the growing placenta. Otherwise, miscarriage may have other causes, and protection against such is limited.
