Cough syrup: I'm of the opinion that all medications, including nonprescription ones, during pregnancy should be ok'd by your obstetrician. I'd rather you consider asking about Robitussin expectorant if you want to loosen phlegm or robittussinDM if you want to quiet a cough. Your pharmacist can also be helpful in recommending a cough syrup for pregnant women, but I still recommend checking with your obstetrici
