A member asked:

If they saw something seriously wrong with my ct scan would they tell me on the spot or no? can i feel a bit better walking out and being sent home or no?

No: Nothing on the spot. There is always a delay between image collection and image interpretation, no meaningful information can be given at the time the images are acquired. If the test was ordered stat, interpretation may be as fast as in minutes and further decisions, such as need for hospitalization or a specific procedure will be communicated right away.
