Fecal elastase: Your elevated level indicates that you most likely do not have chronic pancreatitis, but it doesn't completely rule out some pancreatic dysfunction. Usually diarrhea, weight loss and some degree of intestinal malabsorption point to pancreatic insufficiency. You could try taking a pancreatic supplement to see if you feel better. A gastroenterologist can evaluate and advise you best, however.
