Positive test: The incubation period is typically 2-5 days, but it may be extended. From the time of the testing to 14 days is conservative. Watch for any symptoms, including flu like symptoms, fever, cough and difficulty breathing. If these occur, schedule a virtual appointment with your Pediatrician or with Healthtap. If there is distress, then see the Emergency room. Encourage fluids, rest and monitor closely

Quarantine : Quarantine is separating someone exposed while waiting for signs of illness. Say a teen had a roommate since September and the roommate tested positive in December. Quarantine would be 14 days from the positive test, a time when the roommate would likely be infectious. One could test the teen 5 days after the roommate’s positive test.
