Vitreous gel changes: Usually small black floaters are not serious unless there is a problem with the vision, eye pain or history of eye injury or surgery , or if they increase suddenly, causing blurred vision , in which case they would need an eye evaluation. They may occur earlier in people with high myopia and are,caused by a shrinkage of the vitreous gel inside your eye .
