Ive recently started feeling a shooting feeling (like a little muscle being sprung) on the left side of my head, above and forward from my ear, whenever i yawn or spit, i.e. contort my face in a certain way. should i be worried?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It does not seem to be a reason to worry. If you get a swelling, persistent pain,or vision changes, it would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!
