Infection?: Symptoms you describe could be due to dental problem, throat inflammation or ear related issue or infection. Would seek dental evaluation first or ENT exam if you are sure teeth are not the problem. In the meantime would gargle with warm saltwater or antibacterial mouthwash 3-4 times a day till you get evaluated.

Likely dental origin: Could have dental infection, such as abscess, but also might have jaw problems (TMJ). Herpetic infections could be considered, and cannot exclude sinus issues. Your dentist should be quite helpful in pinpointing causation.
